It depends. I like series, but sometimes stand alone books are so much better because you can just pick one up and not need to have read a back story to understand whatโs happening.
It depends. A series is nice because if you like a book, it doesnโt immediately endโฆ although thereโs always the anxiety of it potentially taking a wrong turn. Also, if itโs a series, thereโs sometimes the pressure of having to read all the books beyond where youโre at. It depends on your perspective at the moment. My answer is both.
Both but if i had to choose one, stand-alone. I donโt wanna cry as I look at the more books I wanna buy and then see another part of a series on sale, Iโll scream tbh because no money
Both.
Stand alone. I get bored with the same characters after a while.
Series, the continuity is like visiting with old friends.
Really difficult choice, I canโt make a decision.
Both
Stand alone. Technically speaking a series is simply one extremely long book.
I like both. Thereโs a place for each in my life.

I donโt read series. The only one I got into was the Dune series by Frank Herbert. I prefer self contained novels
Iโll read both, but Iโm more liking to buy an authorโs latest release, if it is already part of a series that Iโm following.

Stand-alone, I do read them but Iโll move on to other books and then three more books are written before I find them again.
Yes.
Stand alones
Yes
I prefer a series but I do read stand aloneโs.
Both, though Iโve been more into the stand alones.
Only stand alone, keeps my options open. ?
Stand alone. I couldnโt handle having to wait for the next book in the series to come out.
I like both but series if I had to pick
both
What series do you recommend?
Both.
Stand aloneโฆ..I love reading beginnings of books where everything is getting set up. On occasions Iโll read a trilogy but nothing longer.
Both but if i had to choose one, stand-alone. I donโt wanna cry as I look at the more books I wanna buy and then see another part of a series on sale, Iโll scream tbh because no money
Series
Stand alone, for sure!
I like them both, but I would say stand alones
I like them both, so i canโt decide. Depends on author I guess.
