Stand alone. I get bored with the same characters after a while.

Series, the continuity is like visiting with old friends.

Stand alone. Technically speaking a series is simply one extremely long book.

I like both. There’s a place for each in my life.

I don’t read series. The only one I got into was the Dune series by Frank Herbert. I prefer self contained novels

I’ll read both, but I’m more liking to buy an author’s latest release, if it is already part of a series that I’m following.

It depends. I like series, but sometimes stand alone books are so much better because you can just pick one up and not need to have read a back story to understand what’s happening.

It depends. A series is nice because if you like a book, it doesn’t immediately end… although there’s always the anxiety of it potentially taking a wrong turn. Also, if it’s a series, there’s sometimes the pressure of having to read all the books beyond where you’re at. It depends on your perspective at the moment. My answer is both.

Stand-alone, I do read them but I’ll move on to other books and then three more books are written before I find them again.

Stand alone. I couldn’t handle having to wait for the next book in the series to come out.

Stand alone…..I love reading beginnings of books where everything is getting set up. On occasions I’ll read a trilogy but nothing longer.

Both but if i had to choose one, stand-alone. I don’t wanna cry as I look at the more books I wanna buy and then see another part of a series on sale, I’ll scream tbh because no money
