I liked it a lot more than the 2nd. There’s a lot of things I didn’t like about each book but I made myself like them ?
I would say it’s worth reading if you prioritize plot over characterization. I personally can tolerate a mediocre plot if the characterization is good, but not the other way around, so I really didn’t like it.
I’m curious about this too, the synopsis didn’t really grab me but 1) the books are pretty (especially the special red edition holy heck) and 2) i went to school in the authors hometown so i felt like i should read them??

They are okay. Not my fav series and I didn’t keep my copies but I do want to read the next one to see what happens. Good series to check out from the library but not to own in my opinion
I was disappointed. Maybe I’ve read too many books of this genre. I just felt like I’d heard it all before. I only read book 1.

I read the first book. Really loved it. I have the second book in my to-read pile from the library, but got a few others ahead of it to finish first.
I know that there are a lot of negative reviews, but honestly, I’ve absolutely loved the series so far. Definitely recommend!
The third book had such a shitty ending. Threw a bunch of character development in the bin. Plus it felt very cluttered and rushed.

I zipped through the first book, but because of my reading habits, I can either read a book in a day or like 3-4 weeks, there is absolutely no inbetween i really have to be in the mood to read lmao. So after reading the first book I was ready to read the second one, but the phase went out and I got bored so I never finished the series purely because of my lack of motivation

Yes! To be honest, it’s kind of a typical YA book but it’s pretty great

I enjoyed it. The good thing about books is they speak to people subjectively so even though one person didn’t enjoy it, someone else did. If it interests you give it a shot.

Definitely, it’s one of my favourites!! The author is in my area this weekend (also my b’day) but I can’t go (saddest moment of my life) but my friend’s going to get my book signed for me. No one can ever top that present!!
I think it is an okay series, but I think it is worth reading.
I’ve read the books a while ago so their may be some gaps in my memory but I really really liked them and I’m very excited about the release of the next book in May.. It may have some length here and there but as I recall most oft time it was really cool. So I can absolutely recommend it!

Imma admit I absolutely loved the first book, I was hooked. Second book was fine. But on the third book, I almost gave up at the last six chapters. Had to try out audiobooks to finish. I told myself I’m so done with the series now but the epilogue made me save my money for War Storm (which is the fourth and final installment of the series), I just gotta know how it ends now!
