I think they will be like music and just evolve. Ex cassettes, CD, etc. kindles good to find new books or take on trips if you don’t want to carry a bunch of books. However your favorites you might want in actual book form for your shelves. Like people collect records or vintage stuff.

I’m going to break down (against my core principles!) and buy a kindle, but ONLY for traveling!

I keep hearing that books will be gone and no one reads but I can’t tell if this is true or not. I don’t like that they cut down trees for paper but maybe they can make paper out of other things like they used to, maybe corn and that could keep the farmers going. There are books that are written every once in a while that changes the world. Like Harry Potter bringing new generations to reading. People want to read if they can it is the people who can’t or don’t that get scared of books.

I don’t agree. I think books always have a place. Just like phones and computers

I think the quote from Stephen Fry fits this well: “Books are no more threatened by Kindle than stairs are by elevators”

I don’t know about e books, but I love the smell of a new book. I love the weight of the book in my hands. I love feeling the pages between my fingers as I turn the pages. No e books for me.

Technology is changing every second and it is the unknown. And people fear the unknown.
