I’m gonna do it. I’m already doing the Book Riot Read Harder challenge, but also going to add on the GR one. Just not sure if I’m doing the beginning or expert version yet.
I noticed that all the beginning tasks are also in the expert version – so I thought I might start with expert and see how it goes. If not, it’ll be easy to switch.
Yeah. I was also thinking of starting with beginner and if it seems like I can handle it then going for expert. But it might be better to do it the way you are honestly. Just cause it’s easier to step back from something if it’s too much.
Yeah, I thought I’d start with the beginner tasks listed in June and then try and fill the other June tasks. I’m also okay with not finishing in three months and just adding books in to finish it off in the fall.
That’s true. I think if I tried to fit all that in such a limited window it might be too much. Though some things I might choose to fit the tasks are short stories. They actually do qualify.
Yeah – I’ve been known to throw in a picture book I’ve read for the girls before (the non-Christmas holiday book prompt last year because it was my last one and also NYE.)
This is a lot of reading and I’m not sure I want it to dominate my entire summer of reading, so it makes sense to include shorter options. Maybe some graphic novels will fit too.
Thanks for putting this together. There are some great ideas. But I have many books (nonfiction) already in process and will be kept busy reading those.
Wait! What? Different from the yearly reading challenge????
Didn’t even know there was a summer reading challenge.
I think I might. But we shall see. Are you doing the month by month one or the general list one?
The general list.
What’s the summer reading challenge
Tell us more.
Tell me more, tell me more!
I’m here for details ??
I can’t find it or I would. I looked for it on goodreads site with no luck 🙁

I’m shooting for the expert list, but will more likely complete only the beginner one ?
@Joni did you see the summer reading challenge?
Is it cheating if one book covers more than one of the topics? lol
@Bonnie , no, but I will check it out.
@Bonnie, do you see the beginner and expert levels separate?
@Joni yes. Figured I would do the beginner level.
@Bonnie, when I opened link I see the all the categories but only one set. I would definitely do beginner.
I looked at it on my laptop, put in Goodreads summer reading series and I got all the levels.
@Bonnie , thank you.
Thanks for the heads up!
I’m already doing the pop sugar challenge, but I’m just about done, just in time for the summer challenge

If I knew more about it, perhaps….

I’m having a hard time finding books especially ones pertaining to the subjects, like a great wide area.
I was thinking anything set on a prairie, Arctic, desert or ocean.
@Amanda good.
I always forget to update my Goodreads status….
