I adore McEwan! He is one of my top 10 favorite authors! My favorite book of his is “Cement Garden”, “Nutshell” is a close second.
I read “Atonement” when it first came out, then I spent an entire summer reading every single book he wrote up until that point.Ever since, I wait to see on his website when a new one comes out.I did not like “Nutshell” or “Solar” at all.

I like Ian McEwan and Paul Auster. The only Elizabeth Strout I’ve read was Olive Kitterage and I didn’t care for it at all.
The Hours by Paul Auster Olive Kitteredge by Strout are two of my favourite books and Ian McEwan can write like no other.
Love McEwan and Auster but I haven’t read any Strout. My TBR list is way beyond controlling now. Lol

Olive Kitteridge is one of my all time favorites.
Should read “The Burgess Boys,” too, in that case.
