Fantasy. Anything by Robin Hobb. The Throne of glass series by Sarah J. Maas is also good. V.E. Schwab’s series The shades of magic is solid too.

Bernard Cornwell is a good historical fiction author. I’m reading his Saxon Chronicles and read another of his titled Stonehenge.

The Dublin Saga by Edward Rutherford.

The Winter night trilogy. Can’t remember the author right now.

Fire Bringer is a good fantasy book. The characters are deer, was interesting.
And William Horwood (I think) and his Wolves of Time books
