Her first few books were definitely the better ones, Two Women, The Runaway etc stopped reading her few years ago each book too similar to the last…

This seems to be the norm with quite a few established authors.

Main characters are always murdering thugs who have a deep love for family and despise “nonces” (pedophiles). Over and over again.

If people are getting tired of MC, then maybe they should check out Dreda Say Mitchell

I have read 2 or 3 but not a massive fan. Yet I do like Jessie Keane’s books which I believe are quite similar.

I love Jessie Keane. Not quite as brutal and more of a story to them

@Gail Especially the Annie Carter series!

Yes! Not read the latest one yet. I need to go back and do a recap first. I always think of her as Annie Bailey xx

Susan

@Gail I haven’t read the latest one either, Too many other books in the way!

Also check out Kimberly Chambers – her sagas (Butlers and Mitchells and O’Haras) and stand alone are equally good.

Used to her earlier books were terrific, but then they became very samey so I stopped reading them to be honest. The Ladykiller is still one of my all time favourite books though.
