@Esmeralda I would love to read Spanish and Swedish books one day. I’m mostly reading English and German books right now

I would love to read in Russian or in Norwegian. If you want to start reading in English it might be a good idea to read a book you already read and know or you could try a contemporary romance, any book with not complicated words.

I wish I could, but I’m only fluent enough in English. My husband knows Spanish and English, so he tries to read the book in its original language when he can. He will read books that were originally in Italian (like Umberto Eco) in Spanish because he considers it a closer translation.

I can read in three languages. Bengali, Hindi and English. I would really like to learn German and Tamil.

I am fluent in English and French. There’s some books that translate well into French that are by English authors, but there are others that I definitely prefer the original English. This is true for a lot of French authors being translated into English. It’s really hit or miss with the translations.
