I really enjoyed it. I couldn’t put it down. I still think about it 5 months after reading it. I liked it so much I told my husband he had to read it (just so we could discuss it). He enjoy it as much as I did.

Loved it. Yes, it was a difficult storyline, sometimes so sad, but it was a different time, a different place. Will be re reading some day.

Well done regarding PTSD and how serious it is….. character development not as fully faceted as many of her other books…. certainly an informative and well done book but not as fluid as many of her others.

Beautiful, vivid writing but I’ve been struggling to get into it because the parents have triggered crappy childhood memories for me.
It helped to hear others say the story improves so I’ve stuck with it.
I’m finally on page 196 now!
