I have a Tolino, but I think this might only be available in Europe. I like it because it is open source.

I have a Nook Glowlight and a Kindle Paperwhite. I prefer my kindle because it’s easier to get books from the library, no more hooking up to the computer to do it. I’ve had the nook for several years and it’s definitely nice to read on, the kindle is just as nice and just easier.

I have the kindle Voyage, but would get the new Paperwhite if purchasing one now. It’s water resistant/proof!

I have a Samsung tablet S2 (you can buy at BN) and a kindle. It depends on the person but I LOVE both of them. How do you read? Library books? Outside? What store do you prefer?

I have the basic kindle so i can read outside. I love both for their size. The kindle for portability, the tablet for the reading size. More text on the screen makes it a little more natural pages. I also love that I can get nook books, library books, kindle books and google play books on it.

I also recommend always having a reader with a light background. Like not the basic kindle but paperwhite and above. I have the basic kindle but I’ll always have my tablet, which has the light. So many reading situations seem like they have enough light to read, but they don’t.

@Yadu then the eReader lines are great for you! Kindle Paperwhite & Oasis are good. The Oasis is a bit more in cost, but the screen is a bit bigger and there are physical page turn buttons.

I think it depends on your preference, I love my Paperwhite, BUT, an ereader with e-ink technology has a screen that is easier on the eyes and looks more like a page in a book as opposed to a tablet so keep that in mind if you’re looking for a device and you only want it for books (if you want it for more than that you’ll have to go tablet).

I treated myself to the new Kindle Oasis. Pretty expensive but I like the lightweight and the bump in the back that lets it rest easily in your hand to avoid cramping. Worked great on the beach. It’s got a few other features, too, that I haven’t used yet.

I love my Kobo. It’s 6 years old and still going strong. Lightweight, frontlight, can change the font to white screen to black, chane the brightness change font size. Read outside What more do I need? It has dictionary and highlighting and some other features, I never use them.

Kindle new oasis….most people will say paperwhite because they have been around longer and they are cheaper so more people own paperwhites. I have had a paperwhite for years and I loved it but then the new oasis came into my life. I love the larger screen and scrolling buttons. I read a lot of library ebooks…it automatically updates goodreads. No more searching for the book on goodreads. Scan the real book or the oasis will updates goodreads for you for ebooks.

They are both great ereaders but I definitely prefer the new oasis (there are 2 versions…make sure to get the newer one for the larger screen).

If you lived outside the US and want to read library books on your e-reader, don’t buy a kindle.

I have a kindle paperwhite and a nook glow light. Personally, I like my nook the best, because it has the orange lighting option. I read for hours at a time and my eyes really start hurting with the bluer light spectrum. I still love them both, but I find I read less on my kindle because of eye pain.
