Shadow and Bones series HANDS DOWN…..unless you like SLOW BORING starts to books….That was Six of Crows to a ton of people, myself included. The end of the book is the only thing that saved it. It was painful to get through the first 250ish pages of Six of Crows. Shadow and Bone was amazing right from the start and continued to be a fun series from book to book. It truly is a matter of opinion but for me I would start with Shadow and Bone so you know that not everything Leigh Bardugo writes takes forever to get good
Shadow and Bone. Both are so, so different. To me, SOB reads like a normal fictional tale with a strong plot and lots of action. SOC, has a plot, but it’s interrupted by flashbacks in characterizations— so to me, SOC is more about characterization whereas, SOB is more about the story.
Six of Crows. I liked Alina, Nikolai, and the Darkling (not a Darkling supporter but he was a great antagonist). LOATHED Mal, like really despised him. I thus did not appreciate Ruin and Rising very much (that. ending.). SoC was an improvement in every way.
Ooh, I haven’t read Shadow and Bone yet, but I really really enjoyed Six of Crows. The cast is fantastic and there’s so much suspense in the plot. But there’s moments where you can’t help but smile. If you read Six of Crows, its sequel is a must-read!
I have just started the series, Shadow and Bone was the start and I read it in one night. I heard that you should read the Grisha series first so that’s what I am doing.
Six of Crows… hands down. But it’s a total different tone. Six of Crows was fast paced heist whereas Shadow and Bone was slower and more romance. I read Six of Crows first. I disagree with the others who say you have to read Grisha first in order to understand it. It was very easy to follow
I loved both but my favorite series was Shadow and Bone!
Six of Crows, hands down.
Six of Crows. No contest
I loved Shadow and Bone more, personally.
Loved the characters more in Six of Crows, but loved the story in Shadow and Bone better.
They’re both great
Six of crows
Six of crows ?? but I recommend reading the grisha first
Both are awesome!!
Six of Crows!
Six of Crows!
Shadow and Bone!!!
They’re both different….
Six of Crows, hands down
Six of crows only because that’s the only one I have read and also kaz and the gang is literally what I look for in a character and a gang
Six of crows
They are both different…
I loved Six of Crows more… But Shadow and Bone had more Nikolai!
Six of Crows.
Six of Crows, but you should definitely read the Grisha trilogy first.
SIX OF CROWS. kaz is life. ?
Two words. Kaz Brekker.
No mourners, no funerals ?
Six of Crows
I wanted to like six of crows better but shadow and bone introduced Nikolai and he’s my fav character in this world.
@Bailey king of scars then! 😉
@Renita anxiously awaiting it in the mail haha
@Bailey Omg!! It’s mind blowing how good it is!!
@Renita I’m so excited ?
@Bailey even i’m excited for you! Wish I could read it for the first time again ?
Six of Crows
Loved Shadow and Bone! Six of Crows was still pretty good, but not my favorite
Six of Crows for sure
Six of crows only because that’s the only one I have read and also kaz and the gang is literally what I look for in a character and a gang
Six of crows definitely ?
Six of crows but I’d still read shadow and bone first
Six of Crows. Hands down.
Six of Crows ?
Six of Crows. But you have to read the Shadow and Bone trilogy first to understand it
Six or crows ?
Six of Crows. All because Kaz Brekker is 1000 times hotter than the Darkling and Malyen Oretsev.

Six of Crows without a shadow of a doubt.
I thought shadow and bone was just ok, I finished the series but only because I wanted to read six of crows. I thought six of crows was much better
SIX OF CROWS

SoC for sure, Shadow and Bone only for Darkling and Nikolai
I’ve enjoyed both.. But there is so much improvement in SOC..
Shadow and bone
Six of Crows
Six of Crows. But honestly I feel like like they were written for different audiences. Both are great in their own way
Ooh, I haven’t read Shadow and Bone yet, but I really really enjoyed Six of Crows. The cast is fantastic and there’s so much suspense in the plot. But there’s moments where you can’t help but smile. If you read Six of Crows, its sequel is a must-read!
Shadow and bone had me gripped from the first page. Six of crows took a little bit but then I loved it too
I have just started the series, Shadow and Bone was the start and I read it in one night. I heard that you should read the Grisha series first so that’s what I am doing.
