I really hope this happens. The imagery alone would be fantastic if done right.

Yes! That is the exact reason I want a movie made. I would love to see someone interpret it visually.

None. I like books. No time for movies. They always ruin it anyway.

I agree!

The only reason I like them is that I know a lot of people who were non-readers who got interested in books after seeing a movie made from one. They wanted to know more about it.

Battlefield Earth. The book was amazing! Action packed and a real page turner. I don’t know what that dreck was that Travolta appeared in, but it certainly wasn’t a movie.

I’m torn about this one. It was my first pick, but there’s no way Hollywood could capture this story as beautifully as it was told.

Exactly..but I would still love to see such beautiful prose come alive in film

Some books just don’t translate well into movies. I know that when I reread a book it always seems different in my mind I

The Mitford books. Although it might do better as a television series

Well, if I enjoyed the book, I usually don’t think much of the film. On the other hand, if I didn’t like the book much, I often think the film is an improvement. So the thing would be to go for a book I didn’t care for much. If it was a book I liked, a tv series is usually better, because they don’t leave out so much.

The Great Alone: just the Alaskan scenery would be breathtaking.

If they could get the same girl and her family to reprise their roles would like to see them take After You and Still Me by JoJo Moyes. I haven’t read these books but though they would be good as a movie Lilac Girls and The Orphan Train.
