A meal in winter. Hubert Mingarelli.

One morning, in the dead of winter, three German soldiers are dispatched into the frozen Polish countryside. They have been charged by their commanders to track down and bring back for execution ‘one of them’ – a Jew.

I’ve blogged about this before. I love books, but I can’t say any have ever been life-changing! Unless you count The Very Hungry Caterpillar, because I was little when I fell in love with reading, and that book was one I adored.

Also, I am reluctant to give any “should reads” – read what you enjoy reading as long as you read! We don’t all have the same tastes in books and I hate snobbery, I think it puts people off reading.

The Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning. I was a mess, broken, ashamed, hating myself, convinced the world would have been better if I had never been born. This is the book God used to bring me Home, to show me he loved me. My favorite quote is God loves us as we are, not as we should Be, because none of us are as we should be.
