I usually start one right away. The only time I don’t is if the book was super intense and I need to recover until the next day lol

I usually start one right after the next but I alternate between fiction and non fiction. I’ll read a really good story then read a book about science or history.

Great idea!! I was wondering how I was going to recover from an emotional read. Brilliant!!

I’m reading six novels at once. I simply can’t wait to finish one in order to start a new book. Lol

I start right away unless it leaves me with a book hangover and I need to digest it.

Depends on the depth of the book hangover. If it hits me hard, it usually takes a while before I’m willing to trust another book again lol.

It all depends on how the book affected me.

I read several books at the same time. When I finish one, I pick up another I’ve already started. I start a new book any time I’m not in the mood for any of the books I’m currently reading. I am usually reading around 4-6 books at a time. I almost never pause for any significant period of time after finishing a book.

Depends on the book I just finished. I read The Driest Season by Meghan Kenny and felt both down and hopeful at the same time.

Depends on how invested I was in the last book. After I finished The Passage trilogy I couldn’t pick up another book for a long time now and. Also, when I finished A Head Full Of Ghosts I needed time to process before I picked up another book.

I usually read / listen 3-4 books at a time. Self improvement, non fiction, fiction, history, political etc. different themes, otherwise stories get tangled. So there is always an overlap

Depends on the book I just finished, sometimes I need time to savour it. But most of the time pick the next one up straight away. I usually have more than one on the go too.

I start a new one as I’m finishing the last 100 pages of the current one so I’m already hooked. Or, can go on to something else if the new one doesn’t grab me.
