Same. Immediately on to another. I also read multiple books at once. So once I am almost done, I focus on finishing that book. And then grab the next one I am almost finished with. Or which I couldn’t wait to dive back into.

Like to have day or two when I’ll read magazine or do crossword puzzles to keep my mind going

I grab the next one in the stack. Even if I finish at bedtime I read the back and all the reviews before turning out the lights. I like to go off to dreamland with a new book ???

It depends. If I’m suffering from book hangover then I’ll take 2-4 days to process everything before I start a new one. No hangover: immediately after I’m finished.

I have spent my entire life with my nose in a book and have never experienced book hangover

1
Nikkie

Book hangovers are the best. Those books usually become favorites.

1
Lora

I get anxious without a book. It’s always been my escape and my Sisters and I had a pretty tough childhood

1
Lora

It’s definitely a crutch but I think it’s not a bad crutch if I must have one

1
Nikkie

Sorry to hear about your childhood. If you have to have a vice or crutch, books/reading is definitely the way to go.

If I finished a really good one, it takes a few days to be willing to enter another universe. If it was only moderately interesting, the sooner, the better.

I read multiple books at a time so they run into and over lap each other.. It is a countinous stream. Although I have to say if the book is really really good I will concentrate on one book till it is finished I am reading Goldfinch right now and all my other books have been put aside. It is going to be a long night I can tell, lol
