What’s the difference between regular paperback and the mass market ones?? I know my entire Sookie Stackhouse series in mass market. But I usually only buy Hardcover or ebook
100% depends on how the book is available. If it’s a choice, hardcover. A lot of high fantasy is paperback and that’s fine. I recently bought a set of mass market Wheel of Time and no ragrets.
Whichever I find is what I buy. I own series that contain all 3 and it does bug me a bit it’s not so much that I HAVE to go find the same type for all the books. I’m cheap when it comes to books so whatever form I can get it in. But I will say I do prefer a physical book to an ebook.
I love paperbacks. Although I like the feeling on hardcovers, I find paperbacks easier to carry around with me. If anyone is like me, they take a book everywhere!
Whatever Amazon has for cheap. Unless I REALLY like one cover over another (like how I bought the UK “Circe”). I don’t like mass market much, though. They tend to be too fragile.
Paperbacks, I do t really like the binding with mass copies. But, in rare cases hardbacks are cheaper! And then, I look at the cover, if there are different versions, I choose the one I like ?
Paperback if it’s a standalone, or a completed series. Hardcover if it’s a new release, or still having books added to it. I have some trades, but I don’t like them and try not to buy them anymore. I’m slowly replacing the ones I have.
It depends. I shop secondhand. So, it will be whatever is there and available to me. I have vision issues, and even with glasses, mass paperback is too small for me to read. So I try to avoid those ones.
Hard cover
Hardcover
Whichever is prettier
Hardcover when I can, sometimes paperback, but never mass market
Whichever I find at the used bookstore.
I never buy mass media
Hardcover
Paperback

@Isha printing is so small , hate it
The regular paperbacks tend to be wider like this one
@Isha ooooooo. Sonis that why some of my books the writing is so small I can’t read it. ??♀️
Ooooooh…. hmmm, I dont think I’ve ever really noticed the difference! Lol I’ve only ever bought them with super large series because they’re cheaper
I always buy paperback. But I didn’t know there was reall a difference. I only have a couple that have such small print.
Hardcover if possible then paperback. I do have a lot of mass market only because adult romance only seems to be published that way.
Hardcover! Then paperbacks ?
Paperbacks if possible. They’re usually cheaper. Hardcover if it’s a pre-order or a new release and I can’t wait
Paperbacks! Hardcovers sometimes get to heavy
Hard Cover! Unless it’s just a Contemporary.
Whichever is cheapest lol
Depends on my mood.??
If I can’t wait, hardcover. If I can wait, paperback!

Paperback, I used to love hardcovers but now I find them kind of uncomfortable to read usually they are rigid and heavier.

I don’t have a preference, so whatever is available.

I buy hardcover if I’ve already read it and consider it a favorite. Rarely otherwise unless I’m getting a deal.
Usually paper back unless it’s an all time favorite or a series i want then its hard back
Paperback
