When reading a series, do you read them one after the other or do you feel you need a break sometimes?

One after the other
Always one after the other.
One right after another. If i have the book at home, i might start reading it right afterwards.
One after another, i may take a short break of maybe a day or so at times
One after the other.
One after the other, then a break, then more of one after the other.
Need break
Need a break
It depends on the book. Some leave me desparate for more, but some I need to take a break from. ?
Always one after the other . The suspense would kill es lol x
Depends……Just One Day series I had to read back to back to back because I was obsessed with the story! Other series I’ve taken breaks in between.
Take a break
One after the other definitely
Take a break
One after another! I’m still dying for zenith number 2! Does anyone know bout this? I’m dying! Dying!
One after the other or I forget what’s happened and have to start again
I don’t read series now but when I used to I used to have breaks between xx
It depends on the series for me
Sometimes I devour the entire series other times I take long breaks to annoy my best friend ?
One after another
For Lonesome Dove series I needed a break because some of the content is brutal. For Ken Follet I take breaks because each book is at least 1000 pages.
Lonesome Dove I didn’t because I was too nosy and comparing the book to the television series. Ken Follett, I could understand, even though I love his books, too.
I take breaks. I have many series I have not finished.
I have only read the 50 Shades Trilogy but I want to read a series by James Patterson. For me, I’ll only read books in the series before reading another book because I don’t want to get the books story lines mixed up like I have in the past.
I always read something else in between
Always have a break in between mine, I read a lot of series
I usually take a break.
If I’ve enjoyed the stories and invested in the characters then I want to read them all back-to-back. Can’t wait so wouldn’t dream of not reading the next book if I had it on the bookshelf. Earlier this year I read all 8 of James Oswald’s Inspector McLean books back to back and loved them all. This morning I finished the 4th and last of Sharon Bolton’s Lacey Flint books in 2 weeks. Really enjoyed them!
It depends on how long the series is and how good the books are. It’s a series isn’t that long and the books are really good I read them back to back, or as fast as I can acquire them. It is series is a really long I’m going to need a break.
Usually need a gap
I have reread all the Outlander books back to back and loved them…
I get mixed up and forget details if I don’t read one after the other.
It depends on how good the book is.
It mostly depends on whether they’ve all been written yet or not!
Also, if they’re really intense I’ll read a book or two in between instalments to break it up a little.
I’ve found that if I binge read a series, I lose interest by book three, star skimming and usually don’t make it to the end. But if I take a break between books, read something else, I enjoy the series more.
Never felt like that in any of the series I’ve read to be honest. 🙂
I’m both. Some are so good I eat them right up. Others I wait so long in between that by the time I pick up the next one I forgot what happened previously
Currently I’m listening to lots of series
Depends on how short the books are. I can’t read outlander back to back because they are so long. Other series that are only 300-400 pages I can do several of those in a row before I need a break.
I’ve read some back to back and it burnt me out. I take a break now
A break between each one. Wish I could read one after the other though but each time I have tried I am so over it by the end.
I take a break in between and read another genre.
I tend to read them as fast I can get them – typically from the library.
Depends on the series.
I oftentimes take a break
One after the other
I usually take a break unless I’m just dying to know what happens next.
If I have them all and the time then I try and read them together. But if I don’t own them or it’s in a ReadAThon and only one fits a challenge then I don’t.
Like to read them one after the other
I usually take a break ?
One after the other
Break in between
a break because usually the books aren’t at the library when I need them.
One after the other!
One after the other for me…
I binge read when I am hooked.
If I just like them I read in between.
That’s me too! (y)
Depends on how well I liked the book. I have done this on a few series but some have a lot of books already in the series when I found them so I had to take a break on a few.
I’ve been listening to George RR Martin’s GOT’s series. They are huge and I don’t have the physical time to sit and read, so I drive and listen. I’m on book 4 and am taking a small break. I started listening to Lord of the Rings as an in between. ??
I usually read all a row-however if the series is a heavy read I read a light beach book inbetween.
Depends on the series. I had to read Outlander one after the other.
