I absolutey love it. The first 2 books are a bit cliche, and the writing as a whole can be a bit redundant and cringey, but I love all the characters and story!
@Ashley I dont like either of her series. To me the plot is just horrible. And I hate the characters and when something happens it makes NO sense why it happened because she only gives you like a tiny bit of info and I’m just like ?
@Samantha I was just bored with the first one I listened to ember in the ashes and really enjoyed it now back to this series. The things we do for our friends
Love interest ruined the entire series. Celeana’s character did not improve. She’s still the weak assassin until the end. She mastered her magic though, but the word ‘assassin’ doesn’t suit her.
I read the first two and then i just got bored so i stopped and read summaries and idk i just didn’t like the way it was going. Love the concept and all but eh
Couldn’t finish book 3. Was forcing myself cause everyone was saying it gets better. But nopes. Reading 4 books until it gets better. Not my style. I prefer to read a book that got my attention from the beginning. But I do like Acotar of sjm.
same I hate it. I read it for my best friend. My these book series are way too hyped. The main character bores me and their are way too many love interest. I need to read eos still because that’s her fav but I can’t get myself to read it.
As someone who’s currently reading it, I enjoyed the first two books which makes me excited to read the rest of the series because everyone says the rest of the books are amazing. However, before I started the third book I decided to read the assassin’s blade and I’m really struggling to get through it. I just keep telling myself to push through cause the next book is going to be worth it.
TaB is the only book i struggled with in the series, and never finished it. But it is a prenovella so its not that important to the story. Skip TaB for now. You could always read it later
I honestly dislike it. Celeana was said the world’s greatest assassin, but the way she act… oh, I feel like she’s a kid that is always fascinated by the clothes that all characters are wearing. Love triangle also sucks and how the hell almost every male characters show interest to her?
18 and assassin. She started training and killing people since 8. That supposedly changed her. And it wasn’t even mentioned she’s acting like that because she’s 18.
It was meant to be a ending of Freya and Rhysands story but also lead into a new chapter in the ACOTARs world. Sadly I think the story lost some of its focus in A Court of Frost and Starlight. It did not feel as it was the same author
Just meh for me. I stopped reading at book 4 I think. I couldn’t get over that for me she ruined a good character for the sake of the new love interest. And the new low interest didn’t even need it.
You either love it or you don’t. Its one of those series where you just have to try it out for yourself. If you liked ACOTAR then you’ll probably enjoy Throne of Glass.
Anyone who came up with the term “blood whore” and anyone who uses it is a big NO on my list. Not to mention the way Rose used and manipulated and lied to Adrian and people still try to say she’s such a great character. Lissa was interesting, but also to some point. Then she turned bland.
Super good. The first two books are both a little slow but the series definitely picks up in the third one. Her other series A court of thorns and roses is super good to.
Oh my gosh I love this series. I recently finished KoA and was super pleased with the ending. Tied up the main plot but leaves enough for fans to be a little creative on the ‘what happens next’ which I like cause everyone gets to enjoy what they think the future will be ?
Big ol pile of nope for me. Personally I thought they were very slow and had whole chapters that did nothing for the story. Also the justification of the main characters actions, really not my thing.
definitely one of my all tie favourite series! It wrapped up so perfectly with Kingdom of Ash. I hate when series end with many questions left unanswered
EPIC.
I absolutey love it. The first 2 books are a bit cliche, and the writing as a whole can be a bit redundant and cringey, but I love all the characters and story!
I agree with this statement. I loved the story and most of the characters but the writing at times was just…terrible lol.
I love it, but you’re definitely right
I FLOVE IT!! it’s a must read for me! I recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Loved it and currently trying to find another series that will snare me as well
I absolutely dislike it. I think it was way to over hyped but everyone is different ??
@Samantha I’m with you. I’m forcing myself to finish it because my bestie swears it gets better ?
@Ashley I dont like either of her series. To me the plot is just horrible. And I hate the characters and when something happens it makes NO sense why it happened because she only gives you like a tiny bit of info and I’m just like ?
@Samantha I was just bored with the first one I listened to ember in the ashes and really enjoyed it now back to this series.
The things we do for our friends
@Ashley I understand completely. I told mine after the first book that I was done. No more
If you have only read the first book you have absolutely no idea. The plot changes 100%. I really liked it.
If I can’t get into the first book, then its done for me.

Loved it!
One of my favorite series ever
Adore it.
Loved it! Second only to her Court of Thorns and Roses series which is the most amazing thing ever in the history of books! 🙂
Love it!!! It’s only of my all time favorite series along with her A Court of Thrones and roses. (I prefer throne of glass)
Love it! I just started them recently & am on empire of storms
Love love love love loooooove it.
I much prefer them over her other series.
It was okay at first but i lost intrest half way through
As someone who’s currently reading it, I enjoyed the first two books which makes me excited to read the rest of the series because everyone says the rest of the books are amazing. However, before I started the third book I decided to read the assassin’s blade and I’m really struggling to get through it. I just keep telling myself to push through cause the next book is going to be worth it.
I am a huge fan of TOG, and still thought Assassin’s Blade was boring.
@Leicia Assassins Blade becomes really important after Heir of Fire. It’s rough at first but, the first 2 novellas are boring. But it gets better
Tab isnt that nececairy so if you dont enjoy reading it, put it away 🙂
TaB is the only book i struggled with in the series, and never finished it. But it is a prenovella so its not that important to the story.
Skip TaB for now. You could always read it later
I really really enjoyed them!
Best thing ever, I don’t think I can ever read anither book without comparing it to ToG. I think I am madly in love with it.
I honestly dislike it. Celeana was said the world’s greatest assassin, but the way she act… oh, I feel like she’s a kid that is always fascinated by the clothes that all characters are wearing. Love triangle also sucks and how the hell almost every male characters show interest to her?
@Jazzie you know she’s 18 right? She’s barely an adult
18 and assassin. She started training and killing people since 8. That supposedly changed her. And it wasn’t even mentioned she’s acting like that because she’s 18.
Theres no love triangle in the books 🙂 if there was i would have quit
Loved them
I’m trying to read court of frost and starlight and struggling to get into it
Oh gosh, I wish i didn’t waste money on it! It was so cringey and awful!
It was meant to be a ending of Freya and Rhysands story but also lead into a new chapter in the ACOTARs world. Sadly I think the story lost some of its focus in A Court of Frost and Starlight. It did not feel as it was the same author
It read like a Hallmark Christmas-style fan fiction lol.
I agree. It was hard to truly understand it’s purpose and where it was supposed to go. Too sappy without the normal dynamics from the previous books
Overrated. Couldn’t finish the first book and I don’t like thorns and roses either, I couldn’t finish wings and ruin
Just meh for me. I stopped reading at book 4 I think. I couldn’t get over that for me she ruined a good character for the sake of the new love interest. And the new low interest didn’t even need it.
My favorite series ever!
Love it ?
Amazing! I’m obsessed
You either love it or you don’t. Its one of those series where you just have to try it out for yourself. If you liked ACOTAR then you’ll probably enjoy Throne of Glass.
Love it!!! Favorite series ever
It’s honestly my favorite series.
One of my favourites
It’s a really good series.
Omg!!! I love it!
Love it!
Love love love love it, could reread it a billion times
I love this series! I’m currently reading Kingdom of Ash and I’m so sad that it’ll be over soon. I want more! ??
One of my all time favorites! I need to do a reread and then finish the series since it’s over
Doesn’t anyone here want to read anyone else? This must come up every other day. I swear her agent must be robospamming us.
@Victoria agree
Nah, it’s every single day, lol
Seriously. Do people not read other posts on this page?
another Maas post
Like there are other amazing authors out there
loved it once but it’s edging towards “meh” nowadays. still get excited over a few things, and i mean few, but still, not as much as before. meh
❤️❤️
Loved it but i have to say the fandom killed some of that love. And sarahs pushbacks for the release of koa
I love it! It’s my absolute fave series! I’m not too avid in the fandom though but I do enjoy the books and collecting little memorabilia if you will
It’s absolutely amazing one of my favorites
LOVEEE ITTT MY FAVV
???????????
Misoginistic, repetetive, overrated, ruined every good thing it managed to create before the end. Special snowflake all the way
Did you like vampire academy?
Nope. Interesting idea, but Rose was repulsive
@Ewa ok cause everything you said is how I felt about va and everyone seems to really like it. Plus I didn’t like rose either
Anyone who came up with the term “blood whore” and anyone who uses it is a big NO on my list. Not to mention the way Rose used and manipulated and lied to Adrian and people still try to say she’s such a great character. Lissa was interesting, but also to some point. Then she turned bland.
I love ittt
Roller coaster of emotions
I love it!!! I’m on Empire of Storms and loving it.
yuck
Love it, one of my fav series
Reading it now love it.
Fav!++
One of my most favourite series of all time!!
Love it!
I loooove it!!! <3 I'm reading the series again! Currently on "Queen of Shadows".
My favorite YA Fantasy series.
Love!!!
L.O.V.E. I.T.
One of my fave!
Usually when books are that popular, it’s because many people like them so there doesn’t seem any other option then that they’re good
Not all popular books are good.
I struggled through the first book and the second to an extent but I really enjoyed book three, was worth the other two!
Super good. The first two books are both a little slow but the series definitely picks up in the third one. Her other series A court of thorns and roses is super good to.
@Kayla Definitely have to agree with all of the above ❤️
I love it
Love!
The best!
It took me a book or two to really get into it. I didn’t even realise it was pulling me in!
I heard it was great. @RobbieRobbie did you read this?
Two of my favorite series, one of my favorite authors
I read it and it was good, but for me, it’s overrated.
I’ve only read the first one, but it was really cool. I liked it a lot.
Amazing! ???
My favorite series! Love love love ?
My thoughts are the series is great but all the posts about it are getting annoying….
One of my most favourite series ♥️
?????????
My favourite series! Great characters, great plot, great writing. I love both of Sarah’s series.
Absolutely amazing!!
Favorite series of my life
Good. But not nearly as good as A Court of Thorns And Roses
I liked it?
Oh my gosh I love this series. I recently finished KoA and was super pleased with the ending. Tied up the main plot but leaves enough for fans to be a little creative on the ‘what happens next’ which I like cause everyone gets to enjoy what they think the future will be ?
I loved it
Really like it!
Big ol pile of nope for me.
Personally I thought they were very slow and had whole chapters that did nothing for the story. Also the justification of the main characters actions, really not my thing.
@Sorrel Finally I am not alone!!!
ACOWAR is much much better!
It was okay. ACOTAR is better though.
Really liked it
Hands down my favorite series!!! The books are awesome and The characters are so goddamn badass
LOVE THEM!
Doing a reread in January.
ACOTAR is better but lately I’m feeling like she’s overrated on the whole, as an author. ?
@Tina I’ve read ACOTAR and am halfway through the second book in TOG but it’s not what I thought it would be after all the praise I’ve heard.
definitely one of my all tie favourite series! It wrapped up so perfectly with Kingdom of Ash. I hate when series end with many questions left unanswered
I LIVE for her books❤️❤️
Easily my favorites
One of my favorite ❤️❤️❤️
Best. Series. Ever!???♀️?
Love!
Best ever.
Love it!!!!!
I havent really started it but I will after I finish the second book in the bone witch trilogy
Its awesome…. i love it
