I have a top 5. It depends on my mood at the moment. “The Count of Monte Cristo”, “Stranger in a Strange Land”, “Battlefield Earth”, “The Stand”, and “The Iliad”.
These are my go to books, when I find myself in a rut. They are all great reads. No matter how many times I read them, I always get something out of them.
I have several The Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor is my favorite series and Graceling by Kristin Cashore is a close second, The Light of Paris by Eleanor Brown, The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, and White Oleander by Janet Fitch
Don t have a fave….a long list of good reads yes but selecting one winner no just no David brins earth was good as well as the recluse saga and the Elisabeth slander books new one drops in September
The Dr. Kay Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell. I started reading them in high school, after my Mom read one, and have been reading them ever since!
My all time favourite? Chronicle of a death foretold, by the great Gabriel García Márquez. I’ve read it in Portuguese and in the original Spanish version, not sure how good the English translation will be
