Loving the Kay Scarpetta series. I am quite literally hooked.

If you are looking for mystery rather than horror when you say ‘suspense’, I recommend Louise Penny or Ann Cleves: great mysteries and characters in deeply realized settings.

I think Intensity by Dean Koontz, while not new, is an excellent thriller.

Mine is the Stephen King series with Bill Hodges. It is a 3 book set
