Me too! We had a power outage when I read it and I had to go in the cellar in complete darkness to fix it. ? since that night I always have a candle and matches in my nightstand.

I don’t get freaked out easily but if you want a scary-ish book, I suggest the series written by Chris Carter. One By One is a good one to start with of his, but they’re all great. Tania Carver’s books are good too, and not too dissimilar.

The only King book to ever give me nightmares was The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, probably because my daughter was the same age as the character, but It is one of favorites, along with The Stand
