Non-Fiction: I am Legend

You got that backwards. “Into the Wild” is nonfiction (true story, in other words) and “I Am Legend” is fiction (made up).

The Bible as non fiction and necessary;. All of Madeleine L’Engle’s books, her classic “A Wrinkle in Time” and her non fiction as well.

Well, technically, all the books I’ve read are good in their own little way, but my favorite book is Utopia, I personally think everyone should read it and maybe the world would be kinder.

I am happy to see several said the Bible. The King James Version has beautiful writing. The Book of Mormon is also a great book. I loved the Lord of the Rings, which has a lot of religious symbolism.

This is like asking a mom which one of her kids is her ABSOLUTE favorite. Seriously. (for me is a three way tie between The Long Walk, Hemlock Grove and The Vampire Chronicles)

The two best books I think I’ve ever read have been The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and The Count of Monte Cristo by Dumas.

Read both of those in the last year, and loved them both!

@Robert I’m hoping my kids will come to read them when they get a bit older. I remember CoMC was a bit intimidating when I picked it up, but the story was just incredible!

“A bit intimidating” is a good way to describe THCOMC. It sounds like your kids have a great mom!

For me, this changes all the time. Today, thinking back, I’d say “The Republic,” by Plato.
