When the dad said he “gave him relief” I literally shrieked out loud!! It’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever watched and I feel like it should have been split into a series or something rather than one documentary because I had a LOT of questions haha

1
DianeQuestion author

@Kirsty maybe it will be at some point

0
Rebecca

@Kirsty I’ve just watched this it was odd ? and yes I weirded out at the gave him relief comment

1
Kirsty

@Diane I heard the producer was planning on doing a follow up because the first one was all approved by the family but apparently she has her own opinions and plans to do it from a different point of view.

0
Joyce

@Diane which one?

0
DianeQuestion author

@Joyce the first one Just wasn’t into it at all

0
Joyce

@Diane my son got me into it and I loved it but each to their own. I’m really not a good watcher prefer a good book.

1
DianeQuestion author

@Diane just didn’t like the way it was made A film or programme is how the director sees it A book is how the reader sees it and if you don’t like a show on TV it’s not the show its self it’s how it is protrayed and sometimes it’s not to your preference

0
Joyce

@Diane very true. I think Peaky blinders was actually based on a true story.

0
DianeQuestion author

Who knows really But if you enjoyed it that’s the main thing This is a diverse world in all respects ?

@Diane yip well what a time to have street gangs Still exist today Just glad I live in a rural setting The closest I have to a street gang is a herd of cows heading for the feeder ..

We live no where near Belfast Thank goodness

0
Joyce

@Diane unfortunately it was when the troubles were bad and as a little country lass I had to come home. My mam in particular worried but still came to visit.

0
DianeQuestion author

Awh troubles were not that bad really I lived through them and so did my mammy and daddy and we have lived in one of the worst places to live other than Belfast so Wasn’t nice but life went on and still goes on Don’t want it back but hey it was what it was

Sorry I can’t help as I don’t have Netflix or a tv ? x

3
Reply
Colin

@Jeannie A television isn’t required.
I haven’t had one since I moved house nine years ago.
TV crime dramas have improved in the last 9 years or so along with t’internet speeds Imho.
So I’m happy to watch on a tablet in any room I choose.
I get to avoid all the rubbish that’s broadcast.
I recommend giving it a try ?

0
Jeannie

@Colin great idea, unfortunately my internet amount and availability is limited and haphazard at best ,I live on th edge of the Daintree rain forest and I’m happy to get radio on a good day, so me and me books it is xx

L

@Pam I found the staircase awful.

1
Pam

@L did you? I was engrossed- I think it was because the main characters were so horrible ?

0
L

I was engrossed aswell. I think because I had just watched making a murderer and then went straight to that it kinda was just not on par! Did they not think an owl had done it at the end??? ? The bird theory! X

1
Pam

@L loved making a murderer as well! And Dirty John!

0
L

@Pam I loved both of them also! Have you seen “you” that was really good! X

0
Pam

@L no, I’ll look out for that one!

1
L

@Pam it’s more a stalker drama that real life. But it’s been the most intense thing I’ve ever watched. Xx

0
Pam

Binge-watched The Bodyguard last night cos I missed it on BBC. Thought it was excellent – a bit bleary-eyed today as a result! If it’s still available, Unforgotten is brilliant and Line of Duty, of course!

Making a murderer was good I thought. As was dirty John. Ted Bundy tapes now watching the investigator – British crime story. The innocent man was also good, abducted in plain sight was just a head fuck! Be prepared to want to be shocked and angry. Luther. There’s loads. I clearly need help with the amount of murder and crime things I watch ????
