@Tiffany, I have Where the Crawdads Sing, and I couldn’t bring myself to start it after all the hype. I find I’m usually disappointed in books that have been over-hyped, so I have to wait, sometimes a year or more, before I read it if I didn’t get started before the hype. I love getting an ARC of books I want to read, so hype doesn’t ruin anything.

I really enjoyed it. I loved the web that created and how he slowly untangled the story. It was interesting, and the vantage points in the story helped to see from all sides.
I’m afraid to read comments, I like to see yes I liked it or I couldn’t get into it. I don’t like to see spoilers. Spoilers can ruin the story for others. Same as Be a Followill.

It was a compelling read. But I agree with the comment above that I felt it was contrived.
I haven’t started it yet, but I have the Audible version.
