Loved: Give Me Your Hand by Megan Abbott, Circe by Madeline Miller (not sure this one counts but TSOA was popular with the YA community, so I’m including it!) and If We Were Villains by ML Rio

My 2018 YA books from Jan to now:

Champion (Legend, #3)by Marie Lu(good trilogy, read the first 2 in 2017)

The entire Mediator series by Meg Cabot for the second time in my life, still holds up

The Gifting Trilogy by KE Ganshert (loved this one)

Uglies Trilogy by Scott Westerfield (would’ve enjoyed it more if I was younger)

Turtles All the Way Down by John Green (loved it)

Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard (liked the first two books, wasn’t thrilled with the last two)

ACOTAR by Sarah J Maas (Thoroughly enjoyed this series, hope there will be another book. Didn’t read the last one at several people’s warnings of it basically being fan fiction )

The Belles (The Belles #1) by Dhonielle Clayton (was very intriguing, and unique. Cant wait to read the next one)

The Jewel (The Lone City, #1) by Amy Ewing (can’t recall this one really, I rated it 3/5 so must of liked it but didn’t have a lasting impression)

Throne of Glass 1-4 by Sarah J Maas (LOVING this one tremendously not finished yet, still working my through them, and reading them with my husband who is also enjoying them)

Forbidden Tides by Kyla Stan (Still reading this one but totally love it, its not your typical mermaid story, its darker and more interesting)

Poet Tongue (The Skin Walker Series #1) by Kyla Stan (Enjoyed this one, but I might be biased since I love werewolf/shapeshifter books, also I like how she interwove Native American legends into it, you wouldn’t realize unless you know them but it’s interesting. Cant wait to read the next one.)

Arc of a Scythe, #1 & 2 by Neal Shusterman (can’t wait to read the next one. I like how he used “Scythes” like a profession instead of some mystical beings with powers.)

Renegades (Renegades, #1) by Marissa Meyer (been meaning to pick up the second book. I enjoyed the first one. Kind of a unique take on super hero stories where the main character is one of the “villains”. My husband wasn’t thrilled by it, he called it predictable, but I still liked it. I plan to also check out her other series, the Lunar Chronicles as well)

Caraval #1 & 2 by Stephanie Garber (I adored book 1, book 2 was okay but it started splintering off from that magical caraval feel I got from the first one, and became more about history and politics and vengeful spirits…at least for me and I wasn’t as into that. Not planning on picking up the third book after reading the description, I don’t think I would enjoy it)

The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine (It was decent, even cute. I’m a big fan of fairytale retellings or books with fairytale undertones…like Hunted by Meagan Spooner was really good, or even the fairytale tones in ACOTAR. But when I read that the next book in the series was based off a different fairytale than the first book, with all new characters and basically a “save the kingdom” theme yet again I was annoyed because I wanted to learn more about what happened to the characters in the first book)

Just started the Raven boys by Maggie Stiefvater, too early to have an opinion on it yet. I almost put it down when it started heavily with fortune tellings and all that which is fine in books but it kept going on and on which was getting dreary but another person told me to push through it gets better, so I did and Im starting to enjoy it. Plus I loved her other series, Shiver but again, possibly biased since I love Shapeshifter stories.
