This was my first time reading the series, finished the books in seven days. Mockingjay pulled things together well and made me appreciate the characters better than the first two books did.
I gave the first one the highest rating, so I suppose that was the best for me, but I think I found the last one had the most interesting stuff in it (even though I think it could have been fleshed out more).
Catching Fire. Tbh, when I began Catching Fire I was bored and sad because I came very close to dnr-ing it but I stuck it out and am glad I did. It is most definitely my favorite of the series.
