They’re both good, if not a little long winded and drawn out… but worth reading.

The tone in Dark Tower is constantly changing. Usually when I have a conversation about it, people either liked the first half or the second half, but rarely both. I’m no exception, I loved it though Wizard and Glass, and hated the rest.

Wheel of Time slogs through the center.

Dark Tower, its very different to anything else I’ve seen and is a fantastic ride from beginning to end though it does have its up and downs, fast and slow parts.

Wheel of time. Don’t get me wrong, dark tower is good too, but I have to say whereas wheel of time comes off as a masterpiece written by a master of his trade, Dark Tower strikes me as Stephen King specifically trying to write the kind of story he always wanted to but knew he could never sell so he just said “fuck it, I’m Stephen King, I write it, they’ll buy it.” And he just wrote

Wheel of Time is 15 books.
Dark Tower is 7.

Consider that.

Dark Tower is my second or third favorite series, ever. I’ve tried to read WoT and have stopped several times. I know it’s worth it, but I can never find the right time. DT is a quick read, as well.

Dark Tower! Wheel of Time is pretty good and I might finish someday, but my interest was waning by the end of book three.

Can’t go wrong with either, as long as whichever one you don’t choose to read first you read next, because they are both great and worth the time investment.
