@Alden I’m not really interested in chick lit type of romance but I do like old fashioned swoony romance although nothing old fashioned in language (old English) any recommendations?
I don’t cry to romances, but ones where someone is hurt/dies get to me. And the ones where after all that happens, things work out get me too. It’s like watching those videos of soldiers coming home to their kids…waterworks on that kind of thing! ?
Several – Barbara Delinsky – Three Wishes, Kristan Hannah – Home Again, Rebecca Yarros- The Last Letter, Nicholas Sparks – Message in a Bottle, and The Notebook and The Memory Keeper’s Daughter by Kim Edwards.
I avoid modern romance books like the plague, but if I had to chose, it would be classic stories, like Dr. Zhivago, Anna Karenina, and Madame Bovary, which are so much more than romance novels.
Don’t read much straingt romance – I tend to need it filitered with SF, Western, Fantesy. or based in War time, guess in books and in life it need a reason to be there sesides just meeting someone.
