If the synopsis sounds good and gets my interest I will read it. I don’t really give a fig about covers.

The cover might take my interest, the synopsis sounds really interesting, it might be the next book in a series that jI had been reading ust came out, might be written by an author I like and want to read all of their bools, I may also be in a particular mood to read a specific genre and one pops out randomly and I can’t not read it, maybe it’s just come out as a movie and I want to read the book before I watch the movie. Even a friends recommend it and I have similar taste to them.

Sometimes it’s nice to live in other worlds and get away for a bit. Especially with a toddler ??

A brief synopsis that sounds interesting is enough for me or if people are raving about it.

OK, I am taking this question two different ways, so I’ll answer it both ways.
A #1: I read whenever I have a minute. I always carry my book with me.
A #2: I see a book, I look at the cover. If I like the cover, I’ll check the author’s note. If I like that, I read it.

The cover or title makes m click, the blurb makes me start reading, but the writting and plot has to keep me. I could just like the author.

A pretty cover can at least make me look. I try to read a lot of different things, authors from all races and walks of life. I do non-fiction and serious stuff until I need a break, and then do more lightweight options for a while.

I like to read to better myself, learn, see a new perspective. I read a wide range of everything. I read based on how I think the book will better myself, be it to improve my mood or my mind. I’ve noticed not many people read the same books as me 🙁

If you mean what makes me want to read in general, it’s a question with no answer. I read because I want to. I couldn’t tell you why. I just do.

I’ve become such a mood reader. This year so far I’m always in the mood for either women’s memoirs, historical fiction or romance. I’m very very new to romance and have kind of been obsessing over it since I started reading it.

A storyline I cannot get just from the cover and at least 3 inches thick.

I open the book in the middle and read a page or two. If I’m not hooked I move on. A book can start slow and get good, but if the middle doesn’t make me want to know how I got here and how it ends it’s not for me.
