Some people reads while listening to ambient, coffee shop noise..it is a sound of random voices, clanking of cups, glasses, utensils etc that is supposed to make you concentrate more. It is on YouTube and I tried it, kinda works I think.
As long as it’s music I would enjoy anyway (rock, folk, classical, indie, jazz…) it doesn’t matter to me. It just has to be at background noise volume level.
I prefer silence but will have classical music on occasion
In any music make it Baroque for background
Jazz.
Fleetwood Mac- I think because I hear them playing FM in my favorite used bookstore often.
Classical piano
Classical only.
Coffee house jazz

Soft classical
None. Can’t concentrate on what I’m reading. Need silence.

Depends on the book
Classical piano in the romantic era (Liszt, Chopin, Schubert, Schumann). Spotify has a great selection for any mood.
I read without music beside. I like classical piano but everytime I play one while reading, my fingers pretend to play piano, automatically.
