What is your weirdest bookish habit? ? I think mine is that I make faces while reading, based on how the character is feeling ?

I think mine is that I make faces while reading, based on how the character is feeling ?
I sometimes read like an audiobook narrator. ?
I make up different voices for different characters. Also, almost every male protagonist looks like Sebastian Stan in my head ?
I do this thing where I start reading, and then the next thing you know, I’m playing with my phone somehow. It’s very frustrating.
@Brooke i feel you ?
Jessethereader made a video about this, it’s really entertaining! I can’t think of any habits I have rn sadly haha
Idk if i have any weird book habits but i definitely have some really bad ones like horrible reading posture, and reading in poor lighting ? lol
@Jessica when I lived with my parents my mom would walk around turning lights on because I always ended up reading in the dark
Too much light is so uncomfortable though lol I actually ended up getting a book light which helps
@Tricia
I take on the persona of the main character. So if the main character is in a bad mood before I go to work ?♀️ sorry coworkers shitty luck for you ?????
@DesiRae i feel like i do this with TV shows! ? like I rewatched all the gilmore girls episodes on Netflix and I’m already a huge coffee drinking but I nearly trippled my coffee intake while watching the show because of Lorelei ???
Yes, finally someone who understands! ??
Empaths unite! I do this too, with shows and books!
Me too! lol or I’ll repeat a sentence in my head but mouth the words and facial expression. Lol
I get sick of worlds and characters very easily so I don’t binge read or read an entire series back to back. It actually sounds like torture to me.
I also can’t relate to any memes complaining about a series being over. I’m actually always happy. “Oh, good that’s over. Moving on”.
I also copy facial expressions they state in the book I’m reading. Winking is a huge one. Then I get embarrassed even though nobody was around lol.
I’d ‘chew’ on the paper bookmarks you get from the library while I read. Not like actively chew but I’d put it against my lip and let it stick, and eventually it’d get worn down to a nub and I’d subconsciously chew it. Mainly in private more than public though. I don’t remember when or why I started that habit, tbh.
@Rebecca I have this habit with straws ?
@Maria I did that with straws too but not as bad recently. When I was a kid that’s how my mom would tell our drinks apart bc I always had the chewed straw ?
I close the book when something embarrassing happens and the next time I read the book I have to skip over it.
i sniff the pages of a book whether it is from the library or my personal one or from a friend.
probably me just crying in public while a read.
I sniff the hell out of my new books and cant stop fiddling with the pages lmfao
I yell about things occurring in the story or yell at characters when I’m really frustrated. Sort of how ppl get mad and yell about something happening on their favorite TV show.
So glad I’m not the only one ?
If I hate a character in a book I have to put it down and walk away so I dont try and damage the book trying to get to the character and strangle them. I’m weird lol
I like to see that ?
I eat what the MC eats. If they are on an adventure where they don’t eat often, neither do I. O:)
I copy every character’s facial expressions. I sometimes reenact some scenes that i like for example when the character is in love and just staring at the person, i do the same thing but on a wall lol. I also talk to the character like i talk in movies. Giving them advice, getting mad at them for doing stupid things lol
??
It takes an earthquake to pull me out of my book…but I’ve developed the awesome (an uncanny) trick of acknowledging people when they speak to me…without ever actually hearing them…so I can continue reading without being interrupted!
@Sarah my friend does that! ?
Me too ?
