I had a lover in high school who loved to have me read to her. We spent a magical summer reading through The Complete Tales and Poems of Winnie the Pooh, voices and all.

Easily one of my favorite memories of this lifetime. <3

Charlotte’s Web. There was a book about a dog, Bristle Face (I loved it by Zachary Ball, maybe). I always read animal stories and later, mysteries like Nancy Drew, Brains Benton, then Agatha Christie and Alfred Hitchcock. ock

more of a tween/teen book, but I LOVED The Babysitters Club series. also loved the American Girl series where they did books about girls from different historical periods like Meet Samantha was edwardian, Meet Felicity was during the american revolution, ect. American Girl series got me interested in history whereas I didn’t like history in school cause everything was about the men and wars, and not much was taught about women’s roles during history.

The very first one I can remember liking was James and the Giant Peach. We read the book in 3rd grade (I think) and then watched the movie. Not the most recent one but the one before that. It was so sad.
