I just finished The Nightingale last night and cried like a baby. I couldn’t stop. I think it’s one of the best books, if not THE best I’ve read!

@Tamara I wish I was just starting it. I didn’t want it to end, yet I couldn’t put it down. Enjoy! It’s a tear jerker. Have tissues nearby.

The Nightingale I thought was the best ever. Her other books that I’ve read were good but not as great as everyone says. Seriously we all have our own thoughts about books/authors.

2
Marie

I really want to like her books not just because they are popular but I read so much and read so many brilliant reviews of her that maybe I am missing something…I like to read outside my own preferred genres which are 18th and 19th Century authors…

@Marie I read the Great Alone and I really liked it, but I also related to it a lot. That’s the only book I have read of hers but I just started The Nightingale.

Marie

@Tamara Thank you.

I really loved The Nightingale, but some of her previous books drove me batty. That’s all I’ll say. She used to be one of my faves, but have had to pass on most. I will read The Great Alone, though.

I have that TBR and The Lilac Girls. Have to take a break from that subject after reading The Nightingale. Going to read something light next.

@Joan I am the same way after I have read a great book that really affects me.
