Sense and Sensibility – Alan Rickman as Colonel Brandon is the very best portrayal of any literary character – ever – in my opinion. Plus, it’s my favorite novel. Win/win.

Gone With the Wind, of course. And then there’s The Yearling. Oh, yes, To Kill a Mockingbird. Then recently I read Silver Linings Playbook. It was okay. I absolutely love the movie.

I agree – Silver Linings Playbook was much better as the movie. I think it had a lot to do with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence in those roles.

Actually there are more than one. ‘Of mice and men’, ‘The Da Vinci Code’, ‘The time traveller’s wife’, ‘The king’s speech’, ‘The girl with the dragon tattoo’, ‘Forest gump’, ‘To kill a mockingbird’, ‘A clockwork orange’, ‘Cloud atlas’, ‘The shining’ and ‘The Road’.
