Giovanni’s Room, Milk and Honey, The Host, The Almost Moon, My Sister’s Keeper, The Lonely Bones. These are all favorites and I’ve learned something from all of these books or at least found them helpful in someway for my soul. I will always recommend these books to others.

@Michael my then 17-year old daughter came to me with the book and (pointing to a paragraph) said, here, read this. So I read the paragraph and said, Wow. She said, no you have to read the rest of the chapter! She was so moved by the book, and recognized lovely writing when she saw it. I borrowed the book and read it, then bought the rest of his books! The Things They Carried is still my favorite. Enjoy!
