So many…… The Tattooist of Auschwitz, All the Light We cannot see, Sarah’s Key, The boy in the striped pajamas, Night, The Book Thief and The Nightingale. All fantastic reads!!!?
BTW, I buy a lot of books and sell them back to the bookstore or give them away. I will keep these FOREVER…I even sold the Nightingale back(which I LoVED!) if that tells you anything!!
Winter of the World… second book in Ken Folletts Century Trilogy. It’s hands down the most remarkable book I’ve read set during WWII. And I have read a LOT
Beneath A Scarlet Sky, The Road Between Us, Winter Men, Slaughterhouse 5, Alone in Berlin, All The Light We Cannot See. I disliked The Nightingale as there are much better books on the subject. Book Thief is good but aimed at youngsters, as is Boy In Striped Pyjamas. Tattooist of Auschwitz is a lovely story but badly written.
The Kommandant’s Mistress by Alexandria Szeman makes you think, not easy to read but you get the hang of her changing the person who’s telling the story quite randomly.
I enjoyed a Town like Alice.
Rena’s Promise !!!!
That’s a tough one…there are so many! The Lost Wife is one of them.
The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. Also loved The Story Teller by Jodi Picoult.
Goodnight Mister Tom by Michelle Magorian
