I think I only came close to crying once, but it is such a good book. I consider it to be the best book that I read last year, and I read 143 books. I highly recommend it!
Kristen Heitzmann’s Twilight. A firefighter struggling with his failure to rescue a little girl from a burning building crosses paths with his old flame, the love of his life. She also carries her own demons. His love for her drives him to overcome his fear, saving her life and his own.
Realistic fiction it would probably be The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden by Jessica Sorensen. And Faking It by Cora Carmack. Both had me weeping long into the night, and none of them ever really left me. Fantasy-wise, I’d say A Court of Mist and Fury, no questions asked ?
It was. And the relationship that forms between Feyre and Rhys are as perfect as they come. Kinda reminds me of my relationship with my boyfriend, which might be why I was so invested in it! ?
I can’t decide! There are too many!? Pride & Prejudice A Tale of Two Cities Romeo & Juliet Most of the YA books I’ve read and loved—since I never love them that much if they don’t include a great love story!???
@محمد Let’s see… Daughter of Smoke & Bone The Scorpio Races The entire Shadowhunter series The Winner’s Curse trilogy The Lunar Chronicles The Grisha Trilogy
lol, yes. Because Arabic is read from right to left. Thanks for these recommandatins. I’ll definitely be checking these out, it’s been ages since I’ve read a good love story, my last one being Maurice.
Too many to choose from but my top 04 books: *Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen *North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell *Something blue by Emily Giffin* Emma by Jane Austen
Really? I loved the Eo part at the beginning, but I don’t think I’d otherwise call it a life story. Definitely good though! The end of Morningstar made me cry!
Yes, that part was definitely good! I guess there were some great quotes in the last one. I keep a journal of the beautiful love quotes I find in books.
I am not sure if I have a favorite, but I certainly prefer those that do not end with children popping out. A great romance does not have to include children.
@Agnieszka: what is more serious than a lady changing herself to be a vampire to be with the love of her life. I don’t know about you but that to me sounds like TRUE LOVE???#
Jane Eyre is my favorite romance novel, but not sure if that’s my favorite love story… I feel there’s a bit of a difference. Don’t know what to answer otherwise though.
I liked Colleen Hover’s books and John green’s love story with the fault in our stars and these are like my only romance book, I do read books obviously with romantic interests but it’s not the main idea
I took some time to think about this question. My final answer: Pride and Prejudice. For me, that Austen work just ends all other romances–though admittedly I have read other writers who came close to it.
Jamie, you and so many others are probably right in categorising P&P as a love story. I. however tend to fight it out in my mind, I have difficulty calling it as such . Yes, it has a potential love story going forward in the book, but it’s really a story more of morals and money.. As critics would call it, a microcosm of society. it is more a moral tale, in my opinion, and a tale of consequences of folly . The theme of respectability in society, money & family is a constant through the novel, which makes me not call it a love story categorically. 🙂
A Severe Mercy – Sheldon Vanauken
My husband has been trying to get me to read this for years! I hate sad stories though.

I agree that P&P is a love story. I wasn’t specifically asking for a Romance book, just a story with love. ❤️
