@Simran it’s one of the rare books I have kept. I usually donate my books after I’ve read them but I kept a few favourites ?

1
Simran

@Sean What are your other favourites which you’ve kept? I mostly read e-books so I’ve a few paperbacks.

1
Sean

@Simran a few I’ve kept this year include:
The road
Water for elephants
1984
The book thief
The kite runner
A thousand splendid suns
The life of pi
Rebecca
Jamaica Inn
Fahrenheit 451
The glass castle
The perks of being a wallflower
Crime and punishment
The hound of the bakervilles
The curious incident of the dog in the night time
The secret life of bees
Room
The great Gatsby
That’s a few I’ve kept ? I don’t keep many read 129 this year and probably only kept about 25-30

Simran

@Sean I have read only two books out of the list you just mentioned! It’s amazing people here read so many books in a year! I am not even close to you people.

1
Sean

@Simran everyone’s different? I have two young girls and they got bed early so once there sleeping I can’t go out etc so I read pretty much every night ?

1
Sean

Ps what two have you read?

Simran

But I still try to read as much as I can. Since I’m a student, most of my time is spent in reading my fat course books?

1
Simran

I’ve read The Kite runner and the perks of being a wall flower. One of my favorites.

1
Sean

@Simran both of those are great ? a thousand splendid suns is by the same author as the kite runner, it’s excellent too but try water for elephants I think you would like that?

1
Simran

@Sean I’ve taken a screenshot of your list! I would read all of them. The first one being Water for elephants ?

1
Sean

@Simran enjoy ?

I loved I am Pilgrim but didn’t read that this year. Exit West by Mosin Hamid, The Librarian of Auschwitz by Antonio Iturbe, The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas are the first to come to mind. I also really loved The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli.

Loved the Glass Castle- another of Jeannette Walls books – Half Broke Horses – I thoroughly recommend. I loved Lilac Girls and most of WWII novels. Stranger in the House is new to me.
