I’ll start, lol. I think the best narration I heard was Jonathan Frakes narrating “Imzadi” – a Star Trek Next Generation audio book. Also Elijah Wood did a narration of Huckleberry Finn that was absolutely perfect.
The Help.. I don’t know the names of narrators but there are several different ones for the different characters. They sounded like actors, not readers. So good
All the books that Neil Gaiman’s written and narrated himself. His voice is incredibly sexy and he even does all the different voices for his characters. Love him bunches.
I’m gonna admit I don’t do audio often, but I enjoyed Stephen fry in the Harry Potter series…After reading the comments may give Davina Porter a try as I love the Outlander series.
I just started listening to one last night (I prefer actual books) and couldn’t stop laughing. The different voices were hilarious and especially when she was trying to curse.
Barbara Rosenblat is, in my opinion, the best narrator I’ve ever listened to. Her rendering of Elizabeth Peters’ Amelia Peabody series is marvelous – she sounds EXACTLY as I’d pictured Amelia when I read the books the first time around. *grins*
I really enjoy Kate Simses who is the narrator for the Shatter Me series! Not a fan of the last audiobook, though. They threw in a man’s voice because the book was broken up by Juliette and Warner, and it annoyed me so much! I was used to Kate Simses’s voice for Warner.
Tim Ferris’s book, The 4 Hour Work Week. It’s the only English version on Audible. Also, Dracula read by a cast of characters, including Alan Cumming and Tim Curry.

Honestly I’ve yet to find a narrator I love as much as Davina Porter. She does all the audible Outlander series. She is so good.
I have a close second though, now. Mary Jane Wells. She mostly narrates romance novels. But she is SO expressive and hilarious!
@Randee ohh I’ll need to keep my eye out for her or look her up then! I’m very picky as a bad narrator totally makes a good book un”readable”
@Celia I would totally recommend starting with The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare. That is the one that sealed me on Mary Jane Wells.
Awesome I have a few credits I’ll use ?
Davina Porter is very good.
The Chronicles of Narnia series. Had a great narrator, totally forgot who which sucks because I’ve been trying to find it again.
There have been a few different narrators for that series. ? Maybe Kenneth Branagh?
Neil Gaiman and frickin’ Balki from Perfect Strangers.

I liked Reese Witherspoon’s narraing of Harper Lee’s Go Set a Watchman.
