Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson, a non-fiction book about capital punishment and defending the poor and wrongly condemned.

I’ve been wanting to read that. Is it a trilogy?

Goodreads says it’s #1 in the series but I don’t see any other books listed. Maybe she meant for it to be and it didn’t pan out. All I know is that it looks SO good!!

Burgess

I know there are multiple because on the book it says first in the series but Idk

@Yannie Think Romanesque conquerors in a advanced Caribbean/Persia—enslaved rebels and forbidden love, fights for freedom blurring the lines of justice and redemption. It’s fun! (Fantasy, but no magic—at least no sign of it yet)

@Siri I put it on my list. I am reading “Shadow and Bone now. So far so good. I decided to read these three before “Six of Crows”

I’m reluctantly finishing crooked kingdom right now. I don’t want it to end. After that I’m gonna continue the winners curse.

Crooked Kingdom was the definition of a perfect book.

I just finished it. I had 6 pages left. I was holding on like I had 300 pages left. Lol. I am not satisfied with the ending. Like I wanted Kaz and Inej to kiss, hug, grope each other, something! I mean holding hands was a big step for Kaz and he got her a boat and her parents, but I want more!!!

I feel like maybe she’ll write another series set in that world. I hope.

Melissa

I’m hoping for a novella or something. It can’t just end like that.

The book is very good. Have nearly finished it. I did not realise that there was an actual film.
