well those are next on my list . I didn’t think I would like her books . but I love
the last one to this series is suppose to come out this year. so in waiting
I’ve always wanted to read Agatha Christie
Dragon Reader by Cornelia Funke. I’ve been in a multi-year long slump too, so reading an easy, read-before novel has really helped

I am currently engaged in a mix of on and off reading of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child’s Brimstone.
Yes, it is a re-read. I restarted the series after I picked up the latest 3 books in their series and I needed to refamiliarise myself with what’s up.
It’s like X-files/Fringe but as a book.
I like that style idea.

Just finished the Librarian of Auschwitz. Moving on to the Book of Life (3rd in the all souls trilogy) then I’ll probably pause to read the Little Paris Book shop with my book club
I just finished”Finding Audrey” by Sophie Kinsella (whose books are my go-to “slump get-outers” if that makes sense) and I have to say I enjoyed it more that I expected to. It’s about mental illness without only focusing on mental illness. It is more about family values and towards the end I unexpectedly found myself tearing up. A book that brings out any emotion gets ? ? ? ? ? from me. Do try it. It’s written in a light YA style. (Kinsella)
I just finished Remember Me? By Sophie Kinsella. Light reading and funny even if a bit formulaic.
Yes. I agree her writing is formulaic but it is still uplifting! I love how all her characters are stuck in different “ruts” in life but they all manage to pick themselves up in the end. I honestly prefer this to blatant self-help writings. And I love the fact that Sophie Kinsella is funny and relatable. (She’s become my guilty pleasure)

Rainbow Rowell!!! I just finished 2 books by her. I was in a slump for a year… I think my joy in reading disappeared when one of my favorite book buddies passed away. I’m back to it now. And I’m much happier.

Try re-reading something with a lot of action in it, or something emotional.

ahh, I’m in love with Manuscript Found in Accra, Paolo Cuelho. I’m a major reader, at least 1 a weak, and I work and I write…so that’s major. I LOVE this book. I can’t read a page without highlighting… I feel as if I am reading my own thoughts…
The Alienist, really like it but you have to focus and around my house that’s difficult
Started this one. A student picked it for his finals. So far it reminds me a lot of the V.A. Schwab series (A Darker Shade of Magic). Maybe a bit too much… ?
But it‘s too early to say!
