I believe it’s for prime members. They’re supposed to send and email but I don’t always get it. I usually just go on my kindle to the store and towards the top where its rotating different categories there will be a first reads that come round. Click it and you’ll see the choices.
@Celeste there should be some info on all the prime benefits: movies, music, shipping, books, etc. Do a search under the Prime heading at the top of the page.

@Maryann the ones offered through Amazon First Reads are all $1.99. Just those six books are offered through this program. You can only choose one of the books offered. Amazon always has lots of books for $1.99, but the First Reads books are available a month before they are officially released. If you have Prime, you get one ebook free, and the hardback is only $9.99. Once you choose your one book, you can’t get any of the other First Reads books until they are released in April.

Yep it’s a prime member perk! It is not kindle unlimited, just regular Amazon prime membership.

I don’t have Amazon Prime, do have Kindle Unlimited. I also receive First Reads every month. I don’t know why.
I used to get emails from them but haven’t gotten any in awhile.
