What is a good ereader? I had a iPad but never used it so I got rid of it. It wasn’t happy with not being able to see the screen in the sun either.

Paperwhite is fantastic

The reason i like it so much is because o can read in any light. It isn’t back lit like a tablet so it doesn’t hurt my eyes. I also like that it is basically a dedicated e-reader so I don’t get distracted by apps or the internet

I recently purchased a kindle paperwhite to replace my really old Nook. And I regretted it ? I could use the side bars to change pages my on my paperwhite I cannot, I have to swipe on the *gulp* screen. ? but I keep it because the books are usually cheaper on Amazon, plus they have a prime library, subscription service. But man do I hate touching the screen every page with my finger! ??‍♀️

that doesn’t bother me to much. I used to read on my iPad. I’m just not crazy about ebooks but they seem to be cheaper

I love my Kindle Fire. I sent the paperwhite back as I did not like the way it refreshes the page instead of sliding it out of the way.

I use my phone ??‍♀️, I never saw the sense carrying around an ereader. Works pretty good and I prefer that it’s smaller.

I won’t hardly read on my phone. I guess it’s cause I don’t really like ebooks to start with. I feel like it will take some time to get used to it.

Haley

Yeah that puts you in a bit of a pickle. I would probably try your phone first and download the kindle app so you aren’t investing money in products that you may never use.

I had it when I had my iPad! There was a few books I read on it and Apple Books. I noticed to how they give you the first book in the series for free to get you roped in ?

Haley

That’s how they get you!?

I love my paper white, but I’ve got my eye on the oasis. Waterproof and a physical button like my old kindle to turn the page instead of swiping, but still the e-ink instead of tablet light.

I had that and it was wonderful!! I had a case with a booklight and it was perfect. Sadly, I broke it, but the paper white is a good replacement.

The older Kindles seem to work better than the new ones. I liked the free 3G.

I have it. If you are an audiobook listener, it is also Audible enabled. Amazon really got it right with this Kindle model. Love it!

I have a Kobo Clara which is a simple e-reader. It is more popular in Canada where Kindle seems to be more popular in the U.S. Its format is EPUB (as opposed to Kindle’s MOBI). You might want to consider an e-reader app for your phone if you don’t want a separate device just for reading.

Kindle paperwhite! Actually I have both. Use the fire for everyday but for vacations take paperwhite so I can read in the sun.

I toggle between real books and kindle. I liked my iPad but the blue light does disrupt my sleep pattern so I bought the kindle. Great in sun, light and really easy to use.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite can be read in bright light (beach) and darkness. Also awesome battery life. Plain Kindle readers share long battery life and good reading in bright light at a lower cost.

I am in love with my Kindle Oasis. Easy page flip, lighting is perfect (I read on the beach all summer long), and it’s basically waterproof which helps when I’m soaking in the tub!

I loved the first Nook and the smaller one that came out after that. I currently use my iPad. It really is such a personal decision. My son got me a Kindle and it is similar to using the iPad.
