@Johanna, it was sad, but there’s just as many if not more happy and funny parts too. It’s definitely worth reading.

Cecilia Tayo Burmann – You are welcome. It’s a book that doesn’t get mentioned much. I read it probably too soon after loosing a family member and I could hardly see the last pages for tears ? but the story was compulsive & stayed with me for a long time. It’s my go to suggestion when anyone asks for a sad read.x

@Jill yes and just about anything by her . I have loved the many books of hers I have read and look forward to the few I haven’t read yet . I hope she writes many more in the future as well , love here style of writing !

1
Cecilia

Loved it!! Only have read a few by her, Magic Hour was great! Also the ‘follow up’ to FFL, I’ll Fly Away was good. IMO, not as good as FFL but I enjoyed it ☺

1
Jill

I read Magic Hour in February. Thought Fly Away might have even bit a tab better then Firefly Lane but it’s a real close call.

0
Cecilia

Did you like MH? Oh, really? You liked the sequel better?

0
Jill

@Cecilia I loved Magic Hour. How they switched roles and the student became the teacher. Of course you had your chick lit cliques. And, like most of her books, parts were very hard to read.

1
Cecilia

@Jill agreed, I feel much the same with Jodi Picoult. Love her writing but most times it’s a tough topic.
