YEAR ONE, first in a trilogy, by Nora Roberts. Amazing! Second book out in December.
It’s a huge series and it’s packed with detail so it’s a big reading project, but check out Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series

For Science Fiction I would recommend Star Wars. I never thought I would enjoy reading Star Wars books but I have read several. The best author is Timothy Zahn.
