The start of the book wasn’t very promising, but later on the story really got to me.
I would say: well done, Mr. Green, a book about living with anxiety in real life / teenage life!

Agreed. I put it down more than once, and then forced myself to continue. Glad I did.

Same here. It didn’t really depend on events or plot twists, everything was meh exxept for the parts where Aza was portraying her sturggle. I guess people who went through some sort of mental disease would come to appreciate that one.

It’s the only book of his that I’ve read, but I loved his portrayal of what it’s like to live with OCD. I thought it was a good read.

Words on the Bathroom Walls (schizophrenia), Being Me with OCD, The Temptation of Adam (deals with addiction), Starfish (social anxiety), The Memory of Light (depression)

I heard that the author has OCD, but it makes me wonder why he wrote about it via a teenage girl. *shrug* I thought the book was too hipster for me.

It was just OK for me. I love all his books but this one wasn’t the best one IMO.

It was disappointing. Unique characters and potential for a great storyline but it falls flat and incomplete.

I think if this had been his first book, he might have had problems getting it published. While it’s well written from a technical aspect, it didn’t seem to have that emotional hook to draw the reader in like his previous books. I’m glad I read it though, because I learned more about OCD.

It was really uncomfortable for me to read. It made me anxious. But I love the characters and the way he explains what OCD means for some people.
