Lol I let people borrow mine but it’s with a “you know I’ll hunt you down and kill you if anything happens to my books” speech first.

Nope, I don’t even chance it…most of the people I know don’t even bring your dishes back so I know I’d never see my books again. Lol

It depends on how much I enjoyed the book. If I really enjoyed it I keep it, if not so much I give to my local branch of the library.

My children had a bookshelf in their room when they were growing up, I donated them all to a Headstart school… Now I wish I had kept them for my Grandchildren…

I won’t let any books go and now after losing one book i’d had since i was a little girl (more than 30 years) after i loaned it to a little girl to read who then lost it ? and another to a neighbour who can’t find it, no one will ever borrow a book off me ever again, books are too important to me and matter way too little to others x

I know how you feel. If I lend one of my good books and don’t get it back I won’t lend books to that person anymore.

If i’d borrowed a book of someone see or anything for that matter and lost it or something i’d make a point of replacing it but others don’t seem to think like me when it comes to the property of others sadly x

I keep them all. I hope that one day there will be some young person around me which one I could teach how to love books… Also, when you live in a poor country you are naturally prepared for everything bad what may happened – so I collect them as more I am able, to have them in the worse times if those times ever come..

Give the ones away to friends/family that I think would like them and donate the rest to the local library. I would rather people keep reading them and enjoy as I did.

Depends on the book. Sometimes will pass along the fiction. But usually like to hang onto non-fiction and classics.
