I put my overflow in totes and donate ones I know I won’t read again or pass on to a friend.

After reading books I always pass them on to friends or charity shops. I only keep my favourites. There are so many books in this world I want to read so it’s very rare I would read the same book twice! ??

Seriously though. I have a plastic bin. Any books I don’t want to keep (book sales, garage sales, etc) go in it. When the bin is full I sell them.

About 30 yrs ago I had so many books that my bookcases were over flowing and I they were all over my house. A major job to dust! There were. stacks of boxes of books in the attic and basement. After collecting for at least the previous 30 yrs. I said to myself. No one is getting any use from these books so I started giving them away or donating. I only kept my very favorites. Since that time I seldom buy them, except for Kindle.

Donate. Honestly, I used to keep all of them and there was no more space for new ones. I just keep my favorites or the ones I’m sure I’m reading again and donate the rest. Ask my reading friends if anyone’s interested and just get them out of my house.

I thin them out. The ones that I can give up go to the little free libraries that we have in our community.

Cry because I have no where to put them. Then go get new books to feel better. Then cry again.

I never thought I would replace my books with an iPad. I liked the feel of my books and I didn’t think I’d ever change. I now read books on my iPad and I love it.

I don’t! I have a very small book shelf for my 15 favorites (To Kill a Mockingbird, Flowers for Algernon, Romeo and Juliet, etc) but that’s it. I read much too much to have all those books at home. No dusting…just reading! =)

Stack them in any way that means I can fit more on, mine looks awful at the minute but I don’t have room for another bookshelf until I move out so nothing I can do about it ahaha

Kindle!! I love the feel of reading an actual book but my kindle has saved my life because I am no longer struggling to find space for new books and if you’re traveling or going to the beach or wherever you may go you don’t have to just pick between one or two books to bring with you

Get more shelving. My uncle built something like a big skylight in the roof, but made it sold, put in a shelf and filled it with books he loved but didn’t need to access regularly.

Sadly donate them. I’m a book hoarder? I don’t like to even get rid of bad books. I have a rule bookshelfs overflowing and cannot fit one more book. Stack by the bed and by my chair in my sunroom to high. Some have to go! If I didn’t follow this rule my house would have stacks of books everywhere.
