@Siri – I love the book but he’s just such a misogynistic, know it all trope of a character. It’s phrases like: “Lucy has the man brain” and that ridiculous accent (yes, in my head, I know). By the end of the book I am seriously routing for Dracula and I want him to get bitten. Badly. Sorry, not sorry ?
Amy because she annoyed me through out the entire book, I always felt that she thought she was better than her family and Teddy because I feel that he only married Amy to become a March family member. I think he loved Amy but not the way he loved Jo.
Well originally Louisa didn’t want Jo to end up with Friedrich and wanted her to be single (like her because the book is based off her life). The publishers thought it was too risqué
Sorry about going on my nerd tangent. My favorite book lol
Hmm, I wish I can remember them villain characters… None comes to mind right now. I’ll go for that teacher in “The Book Thief”… Can’t remember her name, if she had any…
Dolores Umbridge (Harry Potter) Goodwife Cruff (The Witch of Blackbird Pond) Hector Bowen (The Night Circus) Paris Anderson (Ignite Me) And that awful woman SISTER ELOISE (The Lonely Hearts Hotel)
I know. But Grandmother was introduced as the evil one first. I think Corrine was definitely a product of her environment and the result of such an appalling and abusive childhood. Remember her father wasn’t a saint either. So I hate to say it, but I felt a little merciful for the mother. Just a little. Enough not to sucker punch her.?
Same with me. Once it was discovered that SHE fed them Arsenic and starved them, I lost whatever hope I had in her. In my eyes she became worse than Grandmother because she’s supposed to protect them as their mother. Plus she took them there knowing how badly they might be treated.
I ended up loathing the mother too, especially when the little boy died. But I still have it in for the grandmother. Corinne’s cruelty was cultivated by that wicked woman. No excuse, just fact. That’s what is so great about books and their well written characters. Everyone has different opinions and perspectives.
Dolores Umbridge and Bellatrix Lestrange (Harry Potter series) Victor Dashkov, Isaiah and Elena (Vampire Academy series) Almost every alchemist (except Sydney and Stanton…sort of), Jared Sage, Alicia/Veronica (Bloodlines series) Hank Miller, Marcie Miller, Rixon, that Italian or Spanish guy (Hush Hush)
Surprisingly, I haven’t read Little Women yet but I’m reading Little Men right now and Jo March (now Bhaer) appears to be a totally happy and fulfilled woman. I want to read Little Women when I finish this one.
The only thing that sort of redeemed the situation is that Gabriel Byrne played the professor in the movie. I read Little Men and Alcott did a repeat of something that I totally hated. Check me again when you’re finished. I don’t want to spoil it.
Peck Gavin and Vin Pearce (They Both Die At The End) President Coin (Hunger Games) Camille Belcourt (TMI and TID) Amarantha (Acotar) Ianthe and Jurian (Acomaf)
Black Jack Randall in Outlander series. There’s another one later but it’s a spoiler for those watching the series who haven’t read all the books yet. If you have you know who I mean when I say he’s evil with blonde hair ?
Dolores Umbridge
At the moment, the evil father in Caraval!
Malfoy!!!
Exactly…that kid was a real d!ck
Agreed! He was just a rotten kid for not acceptable reason.
Hermione beat ya to it
I love Draco though!!
Van Helsing in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Repeatedly.
Whaaat…? Okay, we need explanations!
@Mel Okay, fair enough—but I loved him as a comic relief type character!??
Dolores Umbridge
Definitely Dolores Umbridge!
Oh man there’s a bunch lol
Pip
Not from Great Expectations??? ?
Yep. He drove me nuts with his entitled whining
Lol
Heathcliff, I know he was wronged as a child, but he takes revenge to extreme measures and ruins so many lives.
To be fair, there aren’t many innocents in that book.
I could punch him and Kathy both.
@Lisa – agreed
That’s who I’d sucker punch! And Catherine!
Even so, it is one of my favourite books. I’ve read it 5 or 6 times. I’m a sucker for punishment!
@Mel It’s one of my favourite novels because Heathcliff and Cathy are so miserable to each other.
@Barter – you can’t beat a good dollop of angst and drama!
@Mel True! I love the nove!

The jackal
Octavian from Percy Jackson

Feyre
Why, if I may ask? ? I’m just curious – it’s not like you’re saying you wanna punch Rhys ?
Because she says rude hand gesture too much lol very annoying
Because she’s annoying. And if it wasn’t for Rhys I wouldn’t have finished the series. I mean I’d also like to punch Rowan in his stupid fae face too.
@Melissa how dare
Not feyre but beautiful ro
He’s a straight jerk for most of Heir of Fire.
Yeah he is. To be fair she’s not the nicest during it either ?
Yeah but she has her reasons. I love her.
Dolores Umbridge
I was about to post this
Randell from outlander
Which one? Frank of Black Jack?
Black jack though frank is being rather rude

Savannah in the dog who came for Christmas
OMG! Yes. I read that book. It was soooo good but what a bitch she was!
Really? Lol
Ugh! I couldn’t stand her! LOL! Unpopular opinion I know but she was soooo whiny, drove me nuts!
Donald Trump…… Just kidding… Door was open, had to walk through it… lol
Probably Amy from little women or Teddy from little women…
Why? Curious to know
Amy because she annoyed me through out the entire book, I always felt that she thought she was better than her family and Teddy because I feel that he only married Amy to become a March family member. I think he loved Amy but not the way he loved Jo.
Like Amy was his back up plan
@Jen very good answer. I forgot about that part. But Jo became happy with her man. Makes me want to watch it again.
Well originally Louisa didn’t want Jo to end up with Friedrich and wanted her to be single (like her because the book is based off her life). The publishers thought it was too risqué
Sorry about going on my nerd tangent. My favorite book lol
One of my favorites too! Yeah I never truly loved Amy like I always loved and felt relatable to Jo.
Amy reminds me of Lydia from Pride and Prejudice. So yes, definitely a sucker punch.
Oh yes Lydia.. Definitely a punch in the face
I felt the same way as a kid
heehee, the actress has her book called Little Bitch on the Prarie. That character was a spoiled little snot.
Bella Swan
Tamlin
Hmm, I wish I can remember them villain characters… None comes to mind right now.
I’ll go for that teacher in “The Book Thief”… Can’t remember her name, if she had any…
Susan from the Spencer books. I hate Susan. Anyone who takes an hour to eat a piece of lettuce. Aaarrrgghhh.

And that awful woman SISTER ELOISE (The Lonely Hearts Hotel)
Clara Sue Cutler! She’s a character from a Virginia Andrews series and she is the biggest brat ever. I’m talking a serious B.I.T.C.H ??
I love V. C. Andrews
Tamlin from A Court of Wings and Ruin. He’s currently being a jerk and annoying.
Grandmother (Flowers In the Attic)
Don’t forget how horrible Mother was to them.
The Grandmother was bad but their Mother was WORSE!
I lost any and all pity I might have had for their mother when SHE starved them and then fed them ARSENIC!
Cersei Lannister
The Shop-a-holic. Suffered 3 books of her stupidity and I just couldn’t hang.
Commander keris (aka the hag) from ember in the ashes and Dolores fxxking umbridge (harry potter series)
Well I’d do more punch her but Umbridge and Bellatrix, the Seelie Queen, Tamlin, Amarantha, Ianthe
Harry Hole! Because he’s an alcoholic but such an excellent detective!
I love Harry. But those benders are too much.
I agree with you, I love the guy but it really gets a bit too much.
@Chrissie I think his chain smoking bothers me more than anything, tbh.
This is how I feel about inspector Rebus
Dolores Umbridge and Bellatrix Lestrange (Harry Potter series)
Victor Dashkov, Isaiah and Elena (Vampire Academy series)
Almost every alchemist (except Sydney and Stanton…sort of), Jared Sage, Alicia/Veronica (Bloodlines series)
Hank Miller, Marcie Miller, Rixon, that Italian or Spanish guy (Hush Hush)
Satan
Jo March! She was supposed to marry Laurie! ? 25 years later I am still upset Lol!
Ok! Now I’ll be reading faster. 🙂
Jo annoyed me too.
@Soraya a young christian Bale played the boy
@Yannie I remember but back then I used to have the hots for Gabriel Byrne ? so when he was the professor I was able to console myself. Lol!
Peck Gavin and Vin Pearce (They Both Die At The End) President Coin (Hunger Games) Camille Belcourt (TMI and TID)
Amarantha (Acotar) Ianthe and Jurian (Acomaf)

Black Jack Randall in Outlander series. There’s another one later but it’s a spoiler for those watching the series who haven’t read all the books yet. If you have you know who I mean when I say he’s evil with blonde hair ?

Voldemort
Umbridge for sure
Alex’s dad in the Magnus chase series.
